VeryDrone teams up with Life Sports Fitness

The team here at VeryDrone is super excited about teaming up with the crew at Life Sports Fitness. We’ll be working with them to help students gain exposure to drones, drone technology and hands on experience with drone operation. We’ll be starting out by teaching the kids about the incredible story of drones, including their role in both military and civilian capacities.

Being a kid these days is tough. With so many distractions vying for their time, it can be a real challenge to make sure what does grab their attention is wholesome, and at the very least, something that can be productive in helping them formulate opinions and tools that will help guide them the rest of their lives. Here at VeryDrone, we’re strong believers in making sure children have a chance to learn as much as possible about the world around us, and what better vantage point than from the sky!

Our goal in working with Life Sports Fitness, is to give kids a chance to do something they might not ordinarily have access to. Getting up close and hands on with a drone is an unforgettable experience, and one some of these kids might not otherwise get. And by teaching them about the many application for drones, we can plant seeds for future drone pilots, both professional and hobby. As drones continue to emerge as must-have’s in many fields, such as agricultural drones and search and rescue drones,  the demand for skilled drone pilots and operators will also increase.

Drones for Kids

In working with these kids, we’ll be showing them in-depth exactly how a drone operates. We’ll be covering all the components of a drone, what the job of each is, how they work together, and how the electronic components communicate in sync to ensure smooth flight. We’ll show them how to operate the drone in flight, including how the drone camera and first person drone POV displays work.

Drone Racing

Drone Racing continues to emerge as a popular sport. We’ll cover the competitive nature of drone racing, how these drones are built specifically for the demands of agility and speed, and highlight the importance of First Person View Drone Googles and how to gain a competitive edge when racing. At the end of the course, the kids will be given an opportunity to compete in their very own drone race!

The Drone Technology Class is a 6 week program that takes place after school, and will be geared for kids ages 8 – 16 years old. Each class will be about 90 minutes long, and will provide each student with plenty of hands on instruction, flight time and foundational skills that can be applied in many other areas.
